Mahi bowl at Islands

Pretty good. Make sure to order extra sauce. About 550 calories. Fish was a little over cooked.

roast beef sandwich at Back Street Restaurant in Riverside

M and I had lunch here again for about the fourth time in the last six months. Even though they are only open for lunch on weekdays, they do a booming business. They serve delicious sandwiches of several types, basic sides, and an unlimited condiment bar. The meat is roasted daily on site and is delectable. This time I had roast beef. M had her usual ham. 10/10 - highly recommended.

Chipotle

For a long time I didn't like Chipotle. No ground beef, and the ordering process stressed me out. I tend not to like those places that send one down an assembly line requiring split-second decisions about ingredients. But my family likes Chipotle so I've adapted. This is what I've settled on: a burrito bowl with carnitas and everything else except lettuce. That dreaded shredded lettuce. I'll give it an 8/10. And yes, the guacamole is extra.

Leftovers

This is leftovers from the previous post. Reheated in microwave, crumbled bacon on top. We are out of ketchup (out of ketchup!) so I used sriracha chili sauce. 8/10 good. The crunch of bacon is great.

King Pollo across from Salvation Army on Colton in Redlands

Family run place with great service and good prices. We shared a #1 which was a whole chicken with tortillas and salsa. $10.49 but he charged and even $10. Along the same lines as Polo Loco, but better quality. Haven't tried the sides yet, but we'll be back.

Salmon mango at Ocean Blue. Great taste. Terrible service.

Mexican pizza at Taco Bell

Jacob and I went here for lunch. I'd had Doritos loco taco before, and love the apple empanada. I thought I'd try the Mexican pizza. It was pretty good. Like a crispy taco without the lettuce. I put fire hot sauce on it, but could have used more. Unfortunately the Redlands Taco Bell keeps the hot sauce packets locked up behind the counter and I underestimated my hot sauce needs.

Too lazy to wait in line for more sauce. Still 7/10. Very filling. Recommended.

Mac & cheese

Old School Mac n' Cheese from allrecipes.com.
Moderately complex. Lots of cheese so very good. I especially liked the Parmesan mixed with the crust. We used bread crumbs instead of chips. 9/10
